IT'S THE FIRST DAY OF SUMMER!
June 21st is a very important day for our planet and its relationship with the sun.
On June 21st, the sun is at its highest. It becomes the longest day of the year, and because we live in the northern hemisphere, it marks the beginning of summer.
The calendar also tells us it is vacation time so, to one and all, our best wishes for a fun time.
Teachers: Why not ask your students to keep a journal during their vacation, so they can tell all about their summertime fun, when they return to school .
